I’m a firefighter here in Moorhead, and this community is home to my wife, Meredith, a Registered Nurse, and me. For 18 years, I’ve met our neighbors on some of their hardest days. Those moments stay with you. They shape how you see people, how you understand a community, and what it means to show up for one another. That’s a big part of why I’m running for the Minnesota House in District 4A — I’m proud of this community, and I want to keep serving it.
Over the past few months, a few state legislators and community leaders I respect have encouraged me to step forward. Hearing that kind of trust from people who care deeply about this area meant a lot, and it pushed me to think seriously about how I could help in a new way.
When you work in emergency services, you see the real challenges people face — not in reports or statistics, but in living rooms, driveways, and even on kitchen floors. You meet people where they are, and in those moments, you learn quickly how important it is to listen, to work together, and to make sure every voice is heard. That’s the spirit I’m bringing into this campaign. I want people to know I’m here to listen, to be honest, and to stay transparent about the work ahead.
This community has always shown up for each other. I’m running because I want to keep showing up too.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WONDERING WHERE I STAND, LET ME MAKE MYSELF VERY CLEAR: ICE NEEDS TO BE ABOLISHED AND PROSECUTED! On a lighter note...
What an incredible caucus night
in Moorhead last night! Our community showed up, and we made our voices heard. The energy was palpable and you could feel the sparks, the electricity, in the air.
Now it’s time to carry that momentum forward. I’ve seen a lot of fire in my life, and I know a thing or two about how it moves. In this campaign, I want to use the fire I felt last night to create a movement. I’ll never waver in what I believe is most important - protecting people, lifting people up, and ensuring EVERYONE in our community feels safe and supported, that EVERY voice is heard, whatever it takes.
Neighbors came together last night, and it was a beautiful thing to witness. That’s the power of showing up, shoulder to shoulder. That’s the power of your vote.
It’s time to melt some ICE, Moorhead.
Time to turn up the heat.
